It's a challenge for the Australian squad to achieve unprecedented feats.

The highest peaks have been successfully scaled.

This is the unit that has won seven Cricket World Cups, along with six more T20 titles, and previously enjoyed nearly four years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, those for the achievement hunters, are what's still available for a squad that has won it all.

It needed as late as Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase exceeding 300, taking back their record for the biggest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, honestly, a compliment to the pitchers that have represented Australia over the past 50 years.

It is hard for their hitters to maintain a record if never given the chance.

Finally, the consequence of Australia allowing 330 runs was skipper Alyssa Healy receiving an opportunity to deliver her most recent brilliance.

Originally famous as the young family member of renowned former Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she debuted in 2010 after her nation couldn't capture either of the T20 or ODI World Cups from the prior year and has experienced everything through 15 trophy-laden years since.

Success in the T20 World Cup happened three months after her first appearance and seven world titles have come from 10 attempts across formats.

The determined wicketkeeper was in attendance in Derby in 2017 when a semi-final setback by India briefly halted the winning streak.

That loss "motivated us to reevaluate our levels," Healy commented earlier.

At the subsequent ODI World Cup in New Zealand, Healy hit 170 against England in the final and was awarded tournament MVP. She ensured her country would not come up short.

Whether this recent magnificent innings exceeded that prior achievement can be debated.

Certain people claim the reasoning behind championship match pressure. Different voices suggest with the difficulty that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What's clear is this ton was much more difficult to anticipate.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 happened while she topped the run-scoring charts, but this innings came after six matches in India since the start of last month in which she had not exceeded 30 runs.

"For those following me in the nets, it has been a disappointing period because I feel like I lacked timing at all," commented Healy.

"But once you step out on the field, your competitive nature activate and you completely engage with the contest."

Healy's competitive nature has continuously been her key asset - and a priceless quality in taking over from famous previous leader Meg Lanning.

She was tormented by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in the previous month's ODI series, fallen to the young fast bowler in all three matches, but this time it merely gave Healy's inspiration.

A single came off the opening delivery and from there Healy was on her way.

"The possibility to go out there and lock in a contest with her and just have a bit of fun that way, somewhat inspired me," commented Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 balls - her fastest at the World Cup - and her hundred in 84 as she punished short deliveries, scoring 21 fours and three sixes.

When she was out Australia needed 66 additional runs at one run per ball - an unconquered height now demanding an easy conclusion.

"Chasing 330 runs is unfamiliar ground so I am glad we have the belief to achieve that now," added Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to do it another time but, should it happen, we know we can succeed."

Those words will be the final thing competing nations at this championship need to hear.

During the last week a feeling they will triumph from any situation has become more firm - this victory succeeding win against Pakistan by 107 run margin despite sitting at 76-7 at one stage.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a match against traditional opponents England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final berth may probably be guaranteed.

It was at that stage they left the prior year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - an encounter Healy was absent due to damaged tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the initial instance at a significant event.

So strong is her resolve, she afterwards commented she wanted to have participated with the discomfort.

But while she afterwards confessed those injuries have delayed plans to retire, this championship is anticipated as her last as captain in one-day cricket and she is still to achieve a world championship as leader.

Triumph in India would bring her to the top of her last major obstacle.
